Leon Altman has been a healthcare and medical writer and marketer for over 25 years. He started out as a copywriter on the Johnson&Johnson account at Young&Rubicam advertising. He wrote for numerous J&J products, and his successful campaigns for J&J Dental floss were  the longest running campaigns ever in the category.

He moved on to agencies in California where he wrote for health plans and hospitals, as well as medical technology companies in Silicon Valley.

From there he worked as a copywriter at top healthcare ad agencies in New York, including Saatchi Heathcare, Euro RSCG, Wishbone pharmaceutical advertising, among others.  His campaigns covered DTP (direct to professionals) as well as DTC (direct to consumers).  His writing work included campaigns for  AmbienCR, Plavix, Enbrel, Avelide, and Requip, among others for such clients as  Pfizer, Novartis, Glaxco Smith Kline, J&J, Sanofi, among others.

For the past 15 years he has also been involved in campaigns for medical practices as well as health and wellness marketing.

His experience encompasses a wide of spectrum of marketing channels, including  websites and web marketing, ads, brochures, direct mail, newsletters, patient education, articles, whhite papers, SEO, social media and PR.
